When was ALDO created?
In 1972 Aldo Bensadoun founded ALDO shoes as a footwear concession within Le Chateau. Six years later the first independent ALDO store opened in Montreal. During the 80s the company continued to grow and open new locations across Canada.
In 1993 ALDO entered the US market with their store in Boston and continued to expand internationally, opening stores in Israel in 1995, Saudi Arabia in 2001, England in 2002 and Singapore in 2003.
In 2016 ALDO launched the #AldoCrew community as a platform for their customers around the world to share daily inspiration.
Since 2018 ALDO is proud to be one of the first companies to be certified climate neutral for their corporate stores, offices and distribution centers.
