When was Goodness Me created?
In 1981 Janet and Scott Jacks opened the first Goodness Me store in the Hamilton mountain. After Scott was diagnosed with diabetes the couple realized healthy, nutritious food was hard to find in their neighborhood, so they made it Goodness Me’s mission to make the products available for themselves and the people of Hamilton. Since then the business has expanded to two locations in Hamilton, and one in Waterdown, Burlington, Brantford, Mississauga, Barrie, Guelph and Waterloo. Currently the chain is owned and run by the Jacks’ son, Mike, and they continue to show their commitment to the community with education programs, health courses and magazines and one of the highest standards in the industry for where they source their products from.
